Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 19, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how PitchMint collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website, freelancer proposal generator, guest experience, user accounts, paid features, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • account information, such as your name, email address, password authentication data, plan status, and user identifiers;
  • content you submit, including job descriptions, experience, skills, instructions, proposal drafts, and other text you enter into the Service;
  • transaction and billing-related information associated with your plan or payment status;
  • technical and usage information, such as device, browser, approximate log data, session information, and actions performed in the app;
  • information stored locally in your browser, such as session tokens or settings used to keep the Service working properly.

3. Guest mode and account mode

You may use parts of PitchMint without creating an account. When you do, we still process the text you submit so we can generate a proposal, secure the Service, and troubleshoot issues.

If you create an account, we also associate information such as your profile details, saved proposals, plan status, and billing-related identifiers with that account. Proposal history may be stored even if all account features are not visible on your current plan.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide and improve the proposal generation service;
  • authenticate users and maintain account sessions;
  • store proposal history and related account data;
  • process purchases, billing updates, and fraud prevention;
  • respond to support requests and investigate problems;
  • monitor reliability, security, abuse, and platform misuse; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

5. AI processing and service providers

To generate proposal drafts, PitchMint may send relevant text you submit to AI and infrastructure providers that help us operate the Service. At the time of writing, this includes providers such as:

  • OpenAI, for proposal-generation processing;
  • Supabase, for authentication and database hosting;
  • Stripe, for payment processing and billing events; and
  • hosting and infrastructure providers needed to run the app.

We share only the information reasonably needed for those providers to perform their functions for us.

6. Payments

We do not store full payment card details in PitchMint. Payments are handled by Stripe or other payment processors we may use. We may receive billing-related details such as payment status, customer identifiers, timestamps, and limited checkout data needed to activate your plan and maintain billing records.

7. Cookies and local storage

PitchMint may use browser storage technologies, including cookies, local storage, and similar tools, to keep you signed in, remember state, protect the Service, and improve app reliability. You can usually control these through your browser settings, but doing so may limit some features.

8. How we share information

We may share information:

  • with service providers that help us operate the Service;
  • when required by law, court order, legal process, or government request;
  • to protect rights, safety, security, property, users, or the public;
  • in connection with a merger, sale, financing, restructuring, or transfer of all or part of the business; or
  • with your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of selling user lists for money.

9. Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, maintain accounts, preserve proposal history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the reason it was collected.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No online service, database, or transmission method is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International processing

Depending on where you are located, your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including by service providers that operate globally. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

12. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port certain personal information, and you may have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also be able to update some information from your account directly.

To make a privacy request, use the support or contact details made available through PitchMint or the official channel where you accessed the Service. If you publish a dedicated privacy contact address later, you should update this page to include it.

13. Children's privacy

PitchMint is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age required to validly agree to these terms under applicable law. If you believe a child provided personal information to the Service, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means the updated policy applies to your ongoing use.

This Privacy Policy is a practical product policy for the current PitchMint setup. If you expand into additional jurisdictions, add tracking tools, or process regulated data, have counsel review and customize it.
